WORK WITH AMY
1:1 reading coach
Online or in person, Amy will work with your student in focused, engaging ways that are so fun and innovative, your child won’t even realize he or she is learning important literacy skills!
Tutoring sessions begin with a current skills-assessment evaluation, followed by a report for families, and finally goal-driven, individualized instruction for each work session.
small group tutoring
Amy can work with groups of 3-5 students at a time, in a “book club” style or more skills-focused tutoring. Perfect for elementary or middle school students who may not want to complete summer reading assignments on their own, weekly “book clubs” make the job more fun and pain-free for families.
Either way, Amy caters each group session to what students need and what will help them meet with success in reading.
workshops & speaking
Spending the last 25 years in the field of education, Amy speaks on literacy and learning for local parent groups, national gatherings of educators and families, and everything in between. She is the author of two books on literacy and reading, and her workshops are hands-on, engaging, and memorable.

What People Are Saying
“After the initial meeting/assessment, Amy gave us a detailed schedule of dates along with skills she will work on with Hank which was really helpful for this busy mom to stay on track. It helped us also to work with our son in between lessons to reinforce the skills which helped a ton with his understanding. Very professional and organized!
But most importantly, Amy connected with our son right away which is key with him. He looked forward to his time with her.”
